Virtual worlds with user-generated content allow individuals to create their own objects and shape their environments. There are many different levels of user-generated content. Some virtual worlds allow their users to import pictures, 3d designs, and audio files in order to make a new object. Others only provide basic building blocks. Some virtual worlds restrict this to certain users, such as those who pay a fee or have been registered for some amount of time.
