The Second Life Education in New Zealand (SLENZ) project was launched in and is funded by the Tertiary Education Commission, NZ. It is based on the beautiful Koru Islands which are owned by Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology (NMIT).

The project seeks to to design, develop, build and pilot learning activities that could add educational value to the experience of NZ tertiary students.
